The Friends are a non-profit organization whose members support the Dobbs Ferry Library through volunteer services, fundraising and advocacy.
We sponsor many of the library's most popular programs, and we manage an Endowment Fund that supplements the library's long-term funding needs.
The Friends of the Dobbs Ferry Library offer home pickups for Rivertown residents donating books, CDs and DVDs.
To schedule a pickup call Ann Hein 693-6711.
Books may also be dropped off at the library, one bag at a time unless other arrangements are made. Jewelry donations are also accepted. Ask for a tax donation form.
All donated items are used to raise funds for the library.
The Dobbs Ferry Public Library has received a Creative Aging Grant from Lifetime Arts to develop a series of workshops to engage the over 55 population. The grant will give us the opportunity to offer FREE professionally-taught, instructional workshops to patrons 55+. We are in the planning stages and need your help now. If you would please fill out a survey and let us know which artistic disciplines from the visual, performing and literary arts you would like to see featured at this location and when you would like to attend them, we would appreciate it. Please click here to fill the survey out online through Survey Monkey or come to the library and fill out a paper copy.
